I could be wrong, but I do not believe it would be legal for any insider to buy or sell in the period between "knowing material events" and "releasing the info to the public"..... this would hold for good, average or bad news. Given that the JV meeting dates are public knowledge, I personally would not want a trade on record for that date. Then again, this might be a naive thought process... Buddy, we are all like expectant fathers pacing outside the delivery room....If we hear screaming does that mean we have given birth to a BIG one?

I think you are jumping the gun a bit. Global and ScotiaMc have accumulated over the past few months or so, with ScotiaMc being more recent. If the news was to be bad, I think we would of seen Global selling off over the course of a few weeks leading up to the JV. I personally think it is a positive sign that wee see a slight uptick in price as well as an increase in volume. They have done a lot of work to get things back together so I believe this is only the beginning. I'll take todays trading as a positive sign and hope it continues into the next few weeks!
