I think our system is less complicated... Our executive is gov gen representing the Queen.. really a formality ... so we have effectively two branches.. as executive is de facto powerless.. although PM is part of the executive through privy council... Our legislative is different in that when in majority the PM is essentially a king/queen ... you vote with me or are expelled...

Right now Mr. Trudeau is once again in minority .. The far right party (PPC) took votes from the conservatives who are slowly returning to what you would call centrist and our Liberals move further left to squeeze out the NDP.. in my youth there was little difference between our Liberals and Progressive conservatives .. (YES LOL they WERE originally Progressive Conservative Party) The elites all went to same schools..

In Majority our guys get more done.. this double occurrence minority gove is rare..

One poll you need to read. It's not just covid, it's everything. The people in red states are ready. They want more government and they want it do everything from roads to broadband.

"Further, 92% of Texas voters expressed concern about the state’s future, with 58% saying that they are very or extremely concerned."

"....An influx of nearly $16 billion in federal stimulus money could underwrite such solutions — and, the poll demonstrates, most Texans believe it should"
