And yet--they continue to elect Republicans to all state-wide offices as well as clear majorities of Rs in the state legislature.

Everyone wants better this and better that and no one wants to pay for this or that. Nor do they want to do triage on their priorities.

Many polls are worthless because they don't force people to drill down to reality. What are they willing to actually pay for. If you read that entire article, it is very repetitive and sloppy. I suspect the poll was the same.

I agree, vigorously, with Sam's concern about the wording of questions, the order in which questions are asked, and how the various variables are put into the eventual reporting. My suggestion is that in reporting polls you have a choice. Either go digging deep into the process or only report from known, reliable sources.

So it would help when we all report polls if we offer the source, preferably a link to the source. So if we want to discuss it, when can check it out.
