Actually Ken Griffin of Citadel gave a pretty good spiel today ... GOP supporter... I don't like or dislike folks based upon their views within reason... so that is subjective... There are quite a few pub on SI I get along with and we just avoid politics :) Most US folks I have met I have liked... in pretty well equal numbers to Canadians.. Government and folks are quite different... some governments are great at continually fooling their folks... The other alternative is to outright command them which China is heavily weighted to... I live in Canada.. so everything your gov does affects me pretty much... Regarding polarized politics and policy -- we must be careful not to spark a civil or tribal war -- the staggering amount of firepower and fear in "America" is ready-fire-aim. (I say "red America" in the inaccurate conventional sense, technically America is North, South and Central America.) That's terrifying ... I typically avoid saying Americans but not always... more often u will note I will say something like US folks .. I know a few Canuck posters here that are quite perturbed at what they feel is the US hijacking of the term Americans :) Your current system is not designed to allow that to change ... Just sayin' anyway I'll be dead in a qtr century likely... so not my problem :) My daughter is a nomad so I don't worry so much in that vein.. my son yeah he likes it in Canada so I worry about him lots of this sounds so much like Hatfields vs McCoys
