I wish that was so. They have well funded faux "environmental groups" and big league lobbyists that promote "clean coal" and jobs but not carbon-free solutions. They do not state this in the clever disinformation and spin. You have to challenge assumptions of our own bubble left; listen to average people in these states. Watch focus groups when available. I used to buy into the framing of a more progressive WV until I learned the motives. Be careful of (viral) memes from the OLD biased fossil fuel industry. We are used to propagate their lawyered PR messaging and memes.
