Hi Quad-K: Yes, very interesting and done by an excellent journalist..

If any of the new folk want to talk to someone who knows a "lot" about Novell, Lisa is a very good, solid tech journo. I'm sure (in fact I know) she wouldn't mind this posting. If some of you new folk feel you need to share some info or get some points across, Lisa is good folk.

Hi Joe!

We haven't spoken in a while, but I wanted to send a note and say hello. I have left PC Week and moved over to the business press. I now cover software for Investor's Business Daily.

It still feels weird not to be covering Novell stories anymore (did you ever end up getting rid of your stock?) but I cover Microsoft now, so that keeps me on my toes.

You own a few Redmond shares, too, don't you?

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. How are things going with you?

- Lisa

PS: I guess since the time of this email Quad-K she's "back on the Novell beat" <g>

Regards,

Joe...<oh, of course I replied to her <s>>

Hi Quad-K:

Thanks for the IBD info. I subscribe to the paper and visit the site from time to time.

I was aware of the ranking moving from E to C (as of Wed. close in today's IBD.) Moving to B accumulation/distribution ranking must have occurred today!

I read the IBD article before the open and IMO it clearly favored Microsoft, missing the point(probably intentionally.) In the article, Lisa does not provide Journalism. She editorializes and defends MSFT, in veils of course. Do you agree, or should I have to go back and reread? <GGG>

The slant is not a surprise to me, since her boss favors MSFT. Only a few days ago, MSFT was defended by IBD--I have discarded the paper and can not give the date. BTW, although I think it is improper for me to talk about other stocks here, the fact that IBD kisses up to MSFT does not bother me. MSFT has been part of core holding for years! Long live Microshaft! LOL

Software Index made a 2 year high and closed lower today. NOVL could not hold above 8 and traced the index. Tomorrow will be telling...tonight is for a good night of sleep.

Keep up the good work.

Regards,

Seren.
