You don't seem to actually know how government works. It makes it difficult to talk with you.

I understand you think you know how it should work and it would be nice if it worked that way, but that's not the real world. In that sense, talking to you is a lot like talking to INode (although much more pleasant talking to you, of course) in that you are both in an alternate reality. I would like your alternate reality, but it does not exist.

1) he doesn't wait almost a year to send out subpoenas. He wants everyone to have fresh memories.

They didn't. They wanted to at least try to be bipartisan. The Rs hemmed and hawed and the Turtle in the Senate of course blocked it. That took several months. Then they formed the committee to investigate in the House only with two R congress people joining the committee and another ex-R NeverTrumper with investigative experience joining the team as an investigator. It would be loverly if Congress moved faster, it would be loverly if we didn't have Trumpster Rs to deal with but the reality is--we do.

2) he doesn't investigate Facebook and throw the scent off so the morons can't see what he's really doing.
That isn't why they are investigating FB.

3) he asks a general why he wasn't ready to leave Afghanistan
4) he doesn't expect the President to do what the general advises and instead asks why the military didn't obey his orders.

Aside from the fact that the generals aren't always right about leaving a battle unfinished even when the battle is unwinnable (perhaps especially when the battle is unwinnable), I have no idea what number 4 is intended to convey. The military did obey his orders even if some of them didn't like the orders.

5) he doesn't spend months on vacation and then pretend there's just not enough time to do anything almost a year after the event but FB and Afghanistan can be investigated within days.
That didn't happen. The people doing the investigating didn't go on vacation. And even most of the people in Congress didn't go on a vacation; as Claire McCaskill has said many times by now, when they aren't in DC, they are back home talking to constituents, fund raising, reading and meeting with people to figure out what their next move should be.
