As long as we are the reserve currency, you're right, its a waste of time. Spend the time instead on how to get more reserve currency.

Definitely not a "waste of my time" so far paying attention to the "big picture". Lot's of good points brought up in that video I posted I keep an open mind on things.

I've correctly loaded up on energy / energy infrastructure near the lows last year as I faded the green energy talk / dying business model of conventional energy nonsense. Got big income and huge capital apreciation there so far.

Loaded up on Gazprom and many other Russian companies last year also when nobody really wanted them. Gazprom is my biggest holding with huge capital gains and income with even more potentiial to come. Just a little application of Big Picture thinking there with my Russian holdings. I like the Russian ruble versus the dollar currently as a future hedge.

I try not too worry too much and just react to the world around me appropriately. :>)
