Schumer just finished a huge fight on the need to raise the debt ceiling now. Pelosi and the House are out of town until the 19th. She sent out a letter telling them they'll have to go to work early, around the 18th when the debt runs out. Maybe if they stopped flying back and forth and actually stayed in Washington for more than a day or two things would get done. The insurrection happened nine months ago...one hearing. Then a month of vacations. Republicans spent this time getting the base to say the exact same words (they are good at it). What did she do? Not one damn thing. Getting them to change their minds after 10 months will be impossible and she did this on purpose.
