I will call SGI up and find out if they will sell me a machine with "installed software" removed.

Note that we *wont* sell you a machine without Irix on it, but you don't have to do a full install either. Are you going to call a VAR, or Mtn. View? I'm just curious as to what kind of feedback you get from sales.
