I agree it is an accelerator - but so are birds. That is why so many flu strains originate in China - they have a lot of pig farming, ducks and a major avian flyway. With global warming I expect Canada and Siberia to join the suppliers of future illness. Penalizing the airlines for playing a part when they acted pretty responsibly for the most part seemed wrong-minded. There are plenty of active accelerators now - starting by people in charge. The airlines were cutting schedules - hardly any flights occurred - I'm on a landing They should be held accountable for spreading false confidence and not taking action. We all should remember that it was going to vanish by Easter magically, a full 500k dead people before now.
