National Hurricane Center tracking two disturbances in Caribbean

Some slow development is possible over the next few days while the system moves west-northwest at about 15 mph until it is expected to hit strong upper-level winds that will limit development.

The system is still expected to drop heavy rainfall and winds across the Lesser Antillis on Tuesday and the Virgin and Leeward islands on Wednesday, the NHC has forecasted.

The chance of formation over the next two to five days is 20%, NHC said.

Tropical Disturbance Two
A tropical wave over the eastern Caribbean Sea is producing showers and thunderstorms, but is decreasing in strength, according to the NHC.
Environmental conditions are expected to stall development until about Wednesday, when the system will near the Bahamas.

Heavy rainfall is still expected in the Lesser Antilles, Puerto Rico and Hispaniola.

The chance of formation over the next two days is near 0% and increases over five days to 20%.
