I left Quebec (Montreal) at 28 as my future wife/ex could not speak French.. Speaking French in Ontario was a job bonus .. Alas you forget a lot in 34 years... but Hawkesbury Ontario is a French town... ... It is also amazing how much U recall when immersed.. .. when you can actually think in another language.. I can think in French... My Canto.. not so.. I cannot think in that.. but have maybe 500 words.. maybe close to that in Mandarin.. enough to communicate.. but things like humour are tough.. In French I get the humour also .. I have two workmates from Peru with whom I converse in french.. I recently realized what a wonderful opty to improve my very rudimentary Spanish .. They speak it between each other ..

I think I have mentioned this .. where I work there are two 18 yr old past timers.. of course they like to goof.. but are good kids and work hard.. have conscience ...

One is Black with African accent .. other is Asian adopted .. Black kid is native English and Asian is Native French speaker from adoption.. They speak both to each other ... or me ... To them the English French things is moot.. it's all about let's talk..

Sadly Proud Boys originated in my country ..
