Houston Office Visit by DCB Texas Subject: Houston Meeting Date: Thu, Feb 5, 1998 09:45 EST From: DCBTexas Message-id: <19980205144501.JAA09411@ladder02.news.aol.com> I happened to be in the AIPN Houston office neighborhood yesterday and stopped by to see if anyone would talk with me. Bill Tracy, AIPN Comptroller, was kind enough to meet with me. He was very careful in what he said, but here are the key issues we discussed: First, I told him I was very unhappy in that I believed information was being leaked to certain individuals and not the rest of us shareholders. He said that was completely false. In fact he said not a day goes by that some stock broker doesn't call trying to pry confidential information out of somebody in their office. At times, brokers call pretending to be something other than who they are trying to get confidential information. He said they are very careful and aware of the legal issues involved in releasing facts to the public. He has been with AIPN for about 8 years. He said he has owned AIPN stock (some at more than some of you all who are in at $7) and that he has only sold 5,000 shares...I think he said for the tax loss. Second, he told me there was no meeting in Florida. Third, my own observation and a direct question answered the question of whether the Kazakhstan seismic results are in...they are. Forth, the refinery is running crude, about 100,000 barrels on initial run to work all bugs out of the system and train crews. Fifth, there are plans to greatly expand the refinery operations....it is going to be a cash cow. Sixth, they are aware that some stock traders have really played games with this stock in the past, but you don't see them trading in and out of it. Seventh, George is "back in town". Eighth, there is other stuff going on...he cannot comment on it. Overall, everybody I've dealt with at AIPN seem to be honest, open, and above board. This includes the people I spoken with at the refinery. My impression is there is a lot more good stuff to come, but GF is the one who holds all the strings and will decide when to make public. If I think of any other issues I forgot to post here, I'll add laater. Gotta go to work.... DCBTexas ------------------------------------------------------------------ Subject: Re: Seismic Discepancy Date: Thu, Feb 5, 1998 17:57 EST From: DCBTexas Message-id: <19980205225700.RAA11026@ladder02.news.aol.com> For those of you who noted in my post yesterday, I said the seismic numbers are in, as gleened from my recent AIPN meeting, I would like to stand corrected to a point. When I was in the conference room with Bill Tracy, the AIPN Comptroller, we were surrounded on all four walls by an end-to-end seismic chart in black ink, with one of the strata highlighted in bright blue, as it circled the room. I asked Bill if that was the seismic data from Kazakhstan. He said yes. I have a feeling that what I saw pinned to the walls was the overall 2-D of the concession by WaveTech (although I cannot confirm this), and the announcement today indicates they studied the data that I saw and are now camped over the significant area of findings to pin point just where they are going to drill a well. Unfortunately, I cannot read computerized seismic data, but if the highlighted blue area indicates where they think there is oil.... stand by because it will be a lot. DCBTexas
