This chicken game is replayed and replayed.. if US ever really defaulted ... it would be a death knell for those that caused it ... DEMS need think about that... and not fear the default.. This is like poker where everyone keeps folding ...

The general American public does not fear default on the debt. They are numbed and full of escapisms. Lots of culprits fed to this scary apathy. Political overload popped their usual fuses and they built unsafe bypasses ignoring balances and federal finances. The Republicans believe if they tear the US down it will be rebuilt with them in power and they are taking that road to (final) RW victory. Rational people need to UNITE and crush them in 2022. Unity is not currently easy, and between the anti-democracy Russians, China and the alt-right there will be plenty of provocation to keep the internal left fight the focus, and a possible civil war with Trump the surviving and first heavyweight King of The United States.
