It seems to me that an exponential increase in education and modern civilization complies with Occam's Razor.

What else could cause that??

I have seen how people change intellectually when they get educated. And I saw it in myself in spades.

I went from not knowing what the word society meant as a freshman in college, to being an existentialist by the time I graduated.

My kids tell the same story and they were pretty educated before college.

We don't "DEDUCE" much of anything, we learn!

And school is where we do most of our learning. It is a boiling cauldron of thinking in and out of classes.

People have to learn how to learn, and learn how to think.

If that were not true we would not have lived in caves for 200,000 (Homo Sapien) to 600,000 (Neanderthal) years.

IN just 15,000 years we went from smart nomadic animals to modern civilization; and in 200 years we went from pervasive slavery, to no legal slavery, and in 100 years we went from women not being ab le to vote, racism and homophobia to laws protecting them.

The only way this could happen was our increased ability to think!
