Margin debt is actually higher as a percentage of GDP now than it was in the year 2000:

Although I am nearly 65 years old according to my most recent online I.Q. test I am as much a genius as ever. Seriously I do test well. LOL

Does that make me a genius level investor?

No, it does not.

As I have proven over and over on this thread and others I can be as much an idiot as anyone else. We all my mistakes.

The people I have found all throughout my life that make the biggest mistakes are those who think they are always right. Most of the time they really are right but when they make a mistake they make HUGE mistakes.

I don't mind making mistakes for myself but I will not allow you to try to convince yourself and others that margin accounts are any less risky today than they were in 2000.

They are more risky now.
