The so-called energy crisis in china right now is neither an ‘own goal’ nor an accident. The rule-makers wish to bum-rush the nation away from carbon energy and first to be jettisoned is coal, thus a fiat energy crisis tee-ed up in order to accelerate solar adoption. Jury out if done right but lets wait and see. As China makes the most solar gear on the planet, and is vertically integrated all the way back as well as forward, and has tons of application R&D folks working on the details, ‘they’ must know what to expect w/r to cost, efficiency, and adoption.
