MAC= I held on to all the shares i own in a taxable account as i dont want to pay taxes on it this year. its still a full position, but i confess i lost some confidence in management after they cut the dividend and have expressed no path to increase it. They also the the mall near me which i thought was a jewel. it was the premier mall in the city with no real competition.

right now there are other stocks i like better.

"What do you guys think ?"

I thought that the PRIMARY Objective of a company was to make a PROFIT ?

MAC's Debt Expense has already been exceeding its Operating Income.

It's price has previously declined for 3 years and has been going Nowhere for the last year.

If one favours a company like MAC there surely must be better options out there to "park" one's money and earn a return on one's investment until such time as this company proves it's business is improving via positive results in its Financials ?

Hanging on to shares in this company is just eroding wealth, especially considering the current rising rate of inflation which is also in excess of MAC's Dividend Yield .....

This, to me, looks like a far better option ---->

MAC. Bruwin may be right. Better opportunities possibly (likely?) elsewhere. Otoh, if MAC stock held for couple of years, I'd guess it would be profitable for you.

I'll go with bruwin opinion, and start peeling off my MAC shares now. Maybe now a better opp with OMC on its stock fall this morning. Trying that one for a small buy and expectation of two year holding. jmo
