Angel, I believe I was referring to Judge Roy Bean. Sorry you missed that. But hey weren't those pickpockets predominantly White?? Listen, I think we all know that capital punishment should be reserved for capital crimes as currently determine by present Judicial Code. If we really want to return to the "old days", we can return to using creative torture to extract confessions from both the guilty and the innocent. Maybe we can reinstate the inquisition or handle our problems the way the Cathars were handled... "Kill them all, God will know his own"... All I know is that if capital punishment isn't the solution, locking them up for life in prison isn't either. Actually, I've always been for the "escape from NY/LA" example. Put 'em on an Island and let them kill each other. But hey... you have to admit, we've come a long way baby... :0) Regards, Ron
