I’m into 50s Omegas and Rolexes. Not a big collection, three so far.

Have an old, gorgeous, truly beautiful mid 50s Rolex Precision my watchmaker recently finished refurbishing. It’s a major PIA to get parts for it. Not very accurate. It’s my dumb blond of a watch. This is what it looks like, pretty much.

Edit: can’t get image to load. Maybe I’m the dumb blond. Lol.

Have a early 50s Omega bumper my Dad gave me. Had it refurbished, working very well.

The one I like best is an Omega Seamaster issued in conjunction with the Melbourne 1956 Olympics. It’s currently at watchmaker (the 7 o’clock indicator was loose). Keeps fantastic time for such an old watch, a minute a week accuracy.

Here’s what it looks like:

The photo doesn’t do justice.

Bought it for $1500 about 15-20 years ago. Could probably sell it for 6k, but it is not for sale.

Looking for a 36 mm Explorer 1 but, damn, just like stock prices, prices just keep climbing. And I hate chasing the damn things.
