As far as the BROD rumor I just have two observations to add. This summer Novell reported an absolutely terrible kitchen sink quarter, one with revenue as relatively anemic as Microprose's. Seriously. But after a quick opening bell dip, the stock took off on IBM buyout rumors that lasted for days and drove the price up more than 30%. The thinking being that Novell was in such trouble they'd have to actively seek a buyout.

I'm also reminded of Seventh Level, which had to sell games for cash to other publishers to stay solvent. Microprose is loaded in this regard and perhaps should think about selling one or two of the "kids," especially if they don't have the marketing funds or the distribution to do everything justice.
