Miss Lil , the answer to your questions is no and no, < GGG >.So far PFE patient selection criteria have been shrouded in secrecy.If the FDA buys the blue smoke and mirrors scenario the PFE CEO should get a giant pay raise since treating healthy patients with a placebo is a win win situation for the company.I doubt the FDA will be fooled however. I think they got burned with Redux and they will be very careful now.I think Redux may have cost Amer Home Prod the joint venture with Smith Kline and French. I think that when Smith K & F saw the depth of lawsuits, they sales , " see ya ". I don't even believe that Viagra ( IF approved ) will cut into Vivus sales significantly. You and I know that you can find out if a drug works in 24 hours. You give an antihypertensive.It's action is done within 4 -24 hours. If his BP hasn't come down in 24 hours you know that that dose didn't work and you tell him to increase it. If the first dose of Viagra doesn't work next time he'll go to from 25 to 50 mg.If that don't work maybe go to 75 and then 100 mg. 100 mg is the most I've heard given. Meanwhile this guy is quite upset if he hasn't delivered the goods.She may also be upset ( unless she has a headache in which case she may actually feel better). But HE is VERY upset. Brother I've waited for this pill ? 2 years and look at this...... IT WILL NOT TAKE 1 QUARTER to figure this out. The guy, I think, after the 3 or 6 th Viagra pill- and let me add, 3 -6 times will be tried over a 2 or 3 week period at the most! Once a man is determined he is going to move, the boys in this thread know full well he will move at ANY cost. Hormones have been turned on ( after years? of silence), blinders are on and HE wants some action, NOW.So as I was saying after the 3rd to 6 th Viagra pill, he'll see it isn't rocket fuel and as the two top docs in this thread (Dr Russell and TA ) had so eloquently posted before he'll do what every man has done from time immemorial: experiment. He'll take out his secret stash of MUSE and say " all right, let's see what the two of you can do now ". thus there will be little, if any, dip to MUSE sales all IMHO. Again MissLil I hope you do realize that this is my opinion only . With your research background and medical experience however I would appreciate knowing how do you feel. ( I am not asking Zebra because I already know he thinks I talk too much ). TA

Miss Lil << Do you have any info on the patient population inclusion and exclusion criteria? >> Miss Lil: The information posted was taken from the AUA meeting abstracts published in the Journal of Urology. The entire study was probably submitted with the Viagra NDA submission in September, 1997. I would assume that the study will be or has been submitted for publication by Dr. Lue in an appropriate medical journal. Best o f luck with your investment! BigKNY3
