Yeah, congress gets its foot in the door and it is just the beginning. It all starts somewhere like it did in 1913. Congress enacted an income tax in October 1913 as part of the Revenue Act of 1913, levying a 1% tax on net personal incomes above $3,000, with a 6% surtax on incomes above $500,000.

They'll have to sell simply to pay the capital gains tax.

Surprised that the market did not tank today on that information.

I suppose it didn't because there isn't an icicle's chance in hell of the proposal ever passing.
