I expect the results to be better. Compaq is ready to take its place in the company of the Microsofts and Intels.

I agree with you. But cpq will probably do better than many stocks through a bear market. Some tech stocks might not make -- 3com, BAY, AMD etc. If we go through a significant bear market, I expect to lose at least 40% of my equity unless I'm smart enough to avoid it. Of course, holding through a long bear market is a factor of how long you can wait for recovery -- i.e. how old you are and when you need to cash in. I don't look for a cyclical bear market for awhile. What about you, Satyr? dulane
