Now that our fire season is over, I took my Honda generator in for a free recall repair to a place 20 minutes from home and close to where I used to work... when our HP plant was one of the only ones on the other side of HWY 101...

The area is still very industrial, maybe too close to the flightpath of San Jose Airport for housing but there is a lot of land down there still.

I was happy to see so many of these large, sprawling businesses still nearby including AMAT, Nvidia and Huawei.

They had a "ton" of golf carts in their yard. The service manager who wrote up my "order" and made an account for me said a big part of their business is renting and servicing golf carts with many going to people with big lots that have big parties. He said the oddest part is it costs more to deliver a cart to Los Altos Hills than it does to rent it!

Business is good too as golf clubs don't let people share a cart outside unless they are in the same household... odd. so they rented a lot of carts to get more. And some put plastic screens between the driver and passenger so they can share!

In the office, only the gal I talked to on the phone wore a mask. A guy sitting around chatting the the manager were both mask-less despite the sign outside asking me to mask up. Given the location is where the vax rate and mask use is low with much higher incidence and hospitalization rates, I wore my N95 and was glad I did inside the small office...

Strange... I wonder how much more productive society will be when we're not dealing with all the COVID-19 crap.

There is a little talked about tax on savers which includes the wealthy as they should have significant assets in fixed income....

From my newsletter:
The government continues to “redistribute” wealth from savers to borrowers via artificially low rates and MASSIVE QE to prevent a COVID-19 Depression. This is a hidden “wealth tax” on savers.

Massive QE and artificially low rates create inflation...

and Ron Paul says it well:
