Professionals have many advantages. My advantage is, nobody judges me on my quarterly returns. The only person who I answer to is my wife. She is a very forgiving person (otherwise, we would not still be married). She is OK with me saying, “I put a chunk of our retirement money in a copper mine in a Failed State in Africa. They are not making profits, in fact they only recently sold anything, but I think they have a great future. Trust me.” And, astonishingly, she trusts me.
