It just seems like something Trump would do. He never said a harsh word about Putin. Trump has been in Moscow a lot, & Russians have a habit of getting Kompromat on visiting businessmen. We know from the women he's paid off he's extremely vulnerable to honeytraps, which Putin almost certainly would have tried with him. His own sons both have said at different times that they get 'all the money they need' to buy golf courses from Russia. Perhaps someday, Putin will let us know what he had. Trump is basically a whore for money for anyone that has a lot of it, Saudis, Putin, Russian oligarchs, whoever.
