CPQ

Compaq showed some topping actoin today that had me a little worried, but Linear regression forecasts says it could go to 38.5. My net says that it will make new highs, and my personal assessment, fwiw, believes that the large block accumulation is funds buying in since the dip after the last split. With the DEC merger, there could be some volatility over the next three weeks, and I think we saw a lot of profit taking midday. My stop is at 34.75, which is Wednesday's close, and a little tight I will admit. If it goes there then I will look to reenter as soon as I see some large block buying and improved lower resistance. My guess is that it will level off, reassert itself, level an correct near its high, then break through - but all of that is dependent on what the market is like when we approach March. Still, CPQ slit last year and rose in a similar fashion, with lots of opportunities to buy on dips and exit or hold for the 4 month rise.
