RE: LS-120 Spotting - Great Story!

I just got off the phone with a close friend who is a computer support specialist. He knows of my interest in Iomega, so he had to tell me this story of the first LS-120 that he's seen in a client's computer:

The computer is a brand new Gateway G6/300 with DVD, an LS-120, and GET THIS, a 3 1/2" 1.44M A: drive. It was manufactured in 12/97. The guy was complaining about his LS-120 drive though, because it wouldn't read his disks. Guess what his disks were? Zip disks!

Three things to get out of this story:

1) My friend works with hundreds of clients, and this is the first LS-120 he's seen in a machine.

2) The machine STILL had a 3 1/2" 1.44M drive, which the LS-120 supposedly replaces.

3) The guy had Zip disks already.

I got quite a kick out of it!
