Okay, Terry. I saw his show in the late 80's... by the way, I believe it was only syndicated from 1988-89, so I don't know how it got "the biggest ratings of all time"... I do know it died from lack of advertisers willing to be associated with Mort. I've seen him state that himself in interviews.

His show was a joke. Take Jerry Springer and make it twice as ridiculous. My favorite episode was the one where a guy from MIT came on, claiming to be A) from Harvard, and B) representing the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA, and yes, such a group exists). Fooled Mort totally, he was literally foaming at the mouth.

So, is he planning something different? Apparently not....
