Joe, Yup ... puts even in December. By the way, you said "Mike I assume puts are the opposite of calls your shorting the option". Puts are the right to sell the common at the strike price. "Shorting" the option as you say, is a different type of option strategy. You CAN short an option. Instead of buying an option to open the contract, you can sell an option to open a contract. Believe me ..... there are a zillion option strategies ..... much more involved than purchasing stocks =) Amigo Mike
