In the case of coconut and her applications to schools for dance, she deliberately refrained from claiming African ancestry as she did not want to cause 'offence', and I thought she used an interesting term. The applications do ask about ethnic grouping, and I am unsure why that makes any difference in dancing, always thought that whilst math is math, dance, logically, is dance, unless of course the kid who is good at one is automatically not good at the other, but

dance, unlike math, is somewhat more subjective, as it is more visual
