Most don't want to update 10 thousand stocks within a directory structure built by Quotes-Plus for MetaStock 6.5. First they run scans within Quotes-Plus to reduce the symbols to a few hundred or maybe a database of 2000 or so. Each has his preference here.

I know of no one who uses the MetaStock CD history database with Quotes-Plus.

Quotes-Plus that is available currently is a two year database. It never grows larger than two years because the oldest dates are eliminated as new days are downloaded, as I recall. (The beta version of Quotes-Plus begins with five years of data)

Waldo,
I am doing that but it is very difficult. Most on this thread suggest using your favorite scans and starting a database with the scanned stocks. The metastock files will hold up to 2000 stocks but Quotes+ will only update 255/file folder. BTW Quotes has about 10K of stocks in their database whereas metastock has about 27K. Therefore you won't get all the stocks updated even if you put them in 255 stock folders. I am going through the metastock database and picking my favorite stocks and then each day establish new scan lists. Also it takes alot of time to update the metastock database if you have 27K stocks. Hope this helps.
