I read the whole conference call in regard to TSE. Management is very sincere and honest and thinks its company is a "compelling investment opportunity." The Street, on the other hand, has a show me mentality. TSE is in the process of transforming itself into a speciality chemical company from a cyclical commodity business and thinks it deserves a higher multiple. The Street says, show me.

Mind you, TSE is not Google or Disney, but a small to midcap company. So, it is not unusual for the Street to want to see results first.

Go figure. MIDD reported and missed both EPS and Sales by a very nice margin. I thought I was in for a bloodbath. The company blamed the misses on supply chain bottlenecks and inflation. HA HA. What else is new? Stock opened down 4 % and quickly turned around. Now up 2%. MiDD did say demand was strong and there is a backlog of orders.

Seems like the market cut MIDD some slack.

Interesting.
