It's not a matter of IF, it's just a matter of WHEN. These always go farther than anyone thinks and then when the correction to the mean finally comes, anyone that played the downside has been burned so many times, they don't catch most of the fall. At least I know that's what happened to me. Last 3 major drops, I was afraid to stay short because they ramped it so many times for no reason.
I figure we will drop at least 25% and probably more since corrections usually overshoot by almost as much as the overshoot. It could easily be 50%. The problem is when. The wheels were coming off the bus through much of 98-99 but it took 20 months before they finally let it go. We knew the banks and housing market were toast in 06 but it took 2 years before they finally caved.
