Middle Aged Portfolio:

Chowder---Can you please include the Dollar amount for all your new purchases in the MAP.
You made one add with ENB this month along with the eight adds yesterday.
Thank you and appreciate it.

Some of us like to track your portfolio and have a financial interest in it.

RNP---
I track your MAP on Morningstar, but "M" does not recognize the symbol RNP.
I have e-mailed them several times, but they finally got back to me saying since it's closed end, they don't cover it. All the other CEF are shown in "M" except RNP.

Is there another substitute that I can use that is very close to RNP for portfolio tracking that would give me similar results?

Re: Middle Age Portfolio ... Planned moves for tomorrow.

One of the tasks a portfolio manager needs to do is to rebalance portfolios on occasion and see where they stand in regard to other positions.

Sometimes profits need to be taken before the market takes them from us. Sometimes under-performers need to be replaced, and other times some positions get much larger than the other holdings and need to be brought back down in size while building the others up in size.

The key here is that you don't want too much exposure to any one income producing asset so that you can manage the income flows better both from upside and downside forces.

With this in mind in the morning I will be trimming positions in KO, DUK and NEE. I will be selling LANC in full.

I will be buying a position in AMGN. I will be adding to CCI, ENB, TROW and TU.

Here are the important facts.

The positions I am selling represent the following:

Market Value - $35,185
Income - $1,139
Yield - 3.24%
Dividend Growth - 4.00%

The positions I am buying represent:

Market Value - $35,013
Income - $1,226
Yield 3.50%
Dividend Growth - 11.30%

Bottom Line:

A little more immediate income, a slightly better yield, but more importantly much greater dividend growth going forward.
