Brendan, re: &#147These posts don't really have much influence at all, do they?&#148 SI estimates say lurkers outnumber posters at least 3:1 at a best guess, but it may be higher; definitely not lower. That considers the system as a whole, but it's safe to say that this board, IOM, gets followed more than, say, "Joe's Tech-Toy Shoppe", so IOM's ratio may be higher still. Actively on this board, you have many people who represent hundreds of shares, fewer who represent thousands of shares, and then a handful who represent tens of thousands of shares. Now multiply that by a lurker/poster ratio and see what you get. This board does have some clout, and SI is indeed the leading provider of investment chat in the worldwide financial community. -MrB
