on the contrary, Paulo, we would have had a disaster on our hands without the fed plunge protection team. Anybody not invested in the index thinks a kahuna happened. Everybody I know who was holding a diversified portfolio including gold and international stocks thinks there was a kahuna. Everybody I know who is holding our company pension fund thinks a kahuna happened (just how is it that the pension plan dropped over 15% in the fourth quarter? Is that where the garbage stocks and bad trades are swept?) As far as I'm concerned, we had a kahuna when a third of the world's economy watched its stock drop 50%.
And Greenspan has told us we will see the effects on our economy and markets before the spring is over.It doesn't pay to ignore Alan Greenspan. Or trust a mutual fund or pension plan. -eom-
