I’ve been told that one should follow other cars at a two or three second distance because it will take you that long at highway speed to put your foot on the brake and avoid a year end collision in case of emergency, e.g., if the car ahead of you hits a deer.

Considerably slower than 270 mph.

Based on their “every second counts”, sounds like a company where work/life balance is thrown under the bus.

I’ve heard that oncologists have a fairly high burnout rate.

Re: TSVT. It’s my impression that nearly all of the senior staff left BLUE to go to TSVT, which implies that BLUE is now just a research lab run by junior staff.

Great things could come out of it yet, but not anytime soon.
