One time in the late 90's I was in Taichung, Taiwan on business a day before Halloween.

It was a Saturday evening, and we went to a local Wendy's. The entire staff was all dressed up in costumes, and the restaurant was all decorated for Halloween. It caught me by surprise.

I'm surprised I remember all of that because on the way to the restroom, I smacked my head into the ceiling of a low hallway entrance and gave myself a concussion.

It used to be really fun to travel on Halloween in the US. You'd arrive at a big hub for a connection, and you'd see many of the gate agents and vendors dressed in costumes, some really creative. It could help get you through that last leg or first leg of a trip. I think since the TSA has been around, it happens less and less.
