Yea yea. I hear ya. Say u have an interest rate contract for 30 years fixed for floating, fixed at 2.5%, floating goes to 10% due to double digit inflation. I can see borrowers at fixed dancing. Who holds these swaps?
What’s the notional at 2.5%? At 10%? At 20%? I am sure 30 year is not gonna move THAT much.
Not much pain if it goes back down, but they probably will need to crash assets to achieve that.
