While I haven't personally spoke with VPVP about this sale, a highly respected friend of mine who I have absolutely no reason to doubt, did call them up yesterday and posed the question.

As I mentioned yesterday, VPVP only takes about a 15% equity stake in publicly traded companies. VPVP explained to my contact that they recently had a cash need and since FIBR at the time was the most liquid security that fit the bill to raise the cash, they sold FIBR. My contact was also told that they had no intention to sell any more at this time and would likely hold it for quite a while, as they are very optimistic on FIBR's future.

This reason was confirmed from a couple other sources of mine as well.
