Doug, one never knows, but I doubt the new COO gave up
her tenure at Lotus so she could sell her new company.
I think the USB spin-off is simply SYSF saying "we can't
do it all". It appears that SYSF, under new leadership,
is cleaning house and focusing on the business they
believe holds the most promise and profit in the future.
I also believe that the revenue shortfall is a result of
the new COO *not* scrambling to book orders at the end
of the quarter (the hock stick effect). She is trying to
bring order to a company that has been running by the
seat of their pants, quarter by quarter. The quarters to
come will show a much more controlled and conservative
approach, in my opinion. I don't think this quarter is
a disaster for SYSF, as much as it is the beginning of a
new, better managed and more focused, company.
