Good morning Lee, While hunting elk in Colorado, we had a gentleman's agreement that only kill shots should be taken. On of the regular hunters came from California to our camp. He had brought his youngest son for his first year of elk hunting. The young man shot a mule deer instead of an elk. The father loaded his son up, took him out to the highway and told him to hitch hike back to California. Only kill shots was the way of the camp after that! I thought it was harsh, but it DID get the message understood. I shot an 8 pointer on Thursday with my crossbow. One shot. Took it straight to the meat market after gutting and cleaning the deer. No need to go gun hunting as that buck will give us all that we'll need this year. Between our large gardens and a deer, our two freezers are topped off. We have been blessed with a bountiful harvest on our 40 acres. Bob
