D3 is a better pain reliever than morphine with none of the risk.

I have used 1.25 mg daily for 15 years.

30 doctors gave me almost word for word what you said, I fired them all.

"You are going to kill yourself"

"You are going to calcify your eyes"

"You are going to calcify your arteries" 3 cardiologist told me at a stress test.

I laughed at them and they decided to bust my balls. They put the treadmill up to maximum speed and height

and they told me as soon as my heart rate was over 130 the test was over and would take only a few minutes.

I laughed again as 10 minutes later my heart rate was only in the low 120s. They were now growing impatient

as I said I can do this all day, they stopped the test. That must have been 12 years ago.

Anyways I have never had any knee replacements or repairs.

I stopped running and started walking about 7 years ago

I still walk 2 miles a day and ride a stationary bike.

"More is always better"... is not true... vs "moderation in all things"

Well I got to be this age and when I have concentrated my bets I have made fabulous amounts of money.

Lost a few times also.

"Sustained high doses of D once deficiency has been countered... is more likely to be a major health risk..."

How?

What health risk? Health bene not risks!

D3 is eazy peazy to monitor. One takes a D3 blood test along with a PTH test.

Your D3 is fine up to 200. Mine has stayed at 160.

If your PTH goes under 20 stop taking D3 and drink Water. In 2 to 3 months you will be deficient again.

Do you know about Gary Null?

He took 2 million iu D3 daily! DAILY

He sued and and lost. Unfortunately he was perfectly healthy at trial:0)

Null claims he suffered severe kidney damage and intense pain after consuming just two daily doses of the allegedly tainted supplement, which he mixed with water and drank. ... The supplement contained way too much Vitamin D for the recommended use... There was an overdose of Vitamin D."Apr 28, 2010
