The Post Millennial reported today that the suspect, Alexander Starks, is an Antifa activist. In April, he pleaded guilty to a charge of destruction of government property. Federal sentencing guidelines suggested 10–16 months in prison but he was only sentenced to probation and fined $2,784 for restitution. In October the FBI gave Starks his axe back. Meanwhile, a man wearing buffalo horns was sentenced to 41 months in prison last week for walking inside the US Capitol after police gave him permission to walk the halls.
