Hiring freeze doesn't mean that the sky will fall upon the company in the near future. It just shows that the company is very cautious about their future business outlooks. I think it is a sign of cautious and shrewd management.

They do have a hiring freeze on right now. One of their employees in Albuquerque told me about this last week. I agree that it is just shrewd management practice. No cause for great alarm.
