reply to AJ - 18 boxes of the 8940 tower build were in stock when I left the local store at 11:00 a.m. Monday ( 5th largest in the US ) ,... the store manager told me last week that the local market purchases any price of TV's and tablets, but Towers sold without a monitor bundle are not at a price point the local customer has any interest in I like the overall specs is the reason I purchased ... there are Pro's & Con's of the 11700 vs. 11700k Intel processor, but either provides decent performance for my use ... yes, the DVD drive is a positive but not a primary factor Note - I will not know for certain which Intel processor is in this build until I power it on, the box says 11700 ... the paper flyer was completely wrong about several of the specs though I have had 3 weeks to look at the boxes on the shelf before the Nov 22 sale started
