Just Facts: As Many Americans Have Criminal Records as College Diplomas

brennancenter.org

As of July 1, 2015, more than 70 million people have records indexed by the III.

The Numbers in Perspective:

America now houses roughly the same number people with criminal records as it does four-year college graduates.

Nearly half of black males and almost 40 percent of white males are arrested by the age 23.

If all arrested Americans were a nation, they would be the world’s 18th largest. Larger than Canada. Larger than France. More than three times the size of Australia.

The number of Americans with criminal records today is larger than the entire U.S. population in 1900.

Holding hands, Americans with arrest records could circle the earth three times.

Rittenhouses opponents are a lost cause. They lost, two paid with their lives.

Rittenhouses star is rising, old warriors who were faltering have renewed spirits.

A pause of silence for the defeated.

For anarchists everywhere, who desire to be on the winning side for once ....

You know ,,, even if you are vaccinated, you can still change your mind.

Smash the covid vax system, and it needs smashing as it's completely false.

I'll tend to agree with those who say their prior history isn't relevant in relation to the current incident... which as an event stands on its own merits. Rittenhouse not guilty...still means others likely must be... Kyle found to be legitimately defending himself means others were illegitimately assaulting him... and there seems quite a bit of desperation in the efforts made to avoid seeing that the origin of the event was not "an accident" ?

That's not saying anyone should find it surprising that a trio with "a troubled past" were found in the context in which the event unfolded, and that they remained "troubled"...

But, Rittenhouse didn't shoot anyone for having porn on their cell phone, or for abusing others...

The problem with the inclination to consider their prior history in current context, only now, is that focusing on their prior history now is being used to deflect from a proper focus on the CURRENT issue... to absolve them of their responsibility for their behavior in the assault they were perpetrating...

And, by shifting focus to their "troubled" history... blaming them now as "victim's of their past"... the effort seeks to deflect focus from the fact their violence was NOT RANDOM but was perpetrated as a part of a coordinated effort... as one part of a much larger coordinated effort...

The snapshot views of the event... seek to take it out of context as an independent vignette that "just happened" as it did... outside of the context in which it did occur...
